ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding

Our new service to replace and enhance the current Online Safety BOOST package

SWGfL are excited to announce that we will soon be launching a brand-new service that is set to replace and improve upon the existing Online Safety BOOST package. With the online landscape rapidly evolving, we have identified the need for an improved service that provides further information, features and support towards the education sector in keeping their communities safe online.

Introducing ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding

With responsibilities around online safety consistently growing, our new package will build upon what is already established within Online Safety BOOST but will be aligned more closely with internal safeguarding responsibilities. The new toolkit will help schools to meet their statutory requirements to train all staff in safeguarding children online.

Online Safety is an ongoing concern and the need for consistent information and reference for those who are appointed to keep their communities safe online is more essential than ever. With this in mind, we are planning to launch ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding to include the following services:

  • An Updated Incident Response Tool
  • Safeguarding Training Materials
  • Knowledge Maps
  • Analytics - Personal and organisational progress
  • Certification

Optional additional purchases

  • Whisper
  • Reputation Alerts

What is happening to Online Safety BOOST?

As a result of this exciting new direction, we are planning to discontinue Online Safety BOOST purchases and annual renewals from 1st August 2024. Please be aware that if you are still subscribed to Online Safety BOOST after this date, all of the features will still be available to use until the end of your subscription time.

How can I join ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding?

We are planning to launch ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding in early 2025. We will automatically transfer all Online Safety BOOST accounts over to ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding unless informed otherwise. We will inform all subscribers of when the ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding toolkit is live.

I’ll still be subscribed to Online Safety BOOST, can I switch to ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding?

Yes, we will automatically transfer all Online Safety BOOST accounts onto ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding unless informed otherwise.

What about cost?

ProjectEVOLVE Safeguarding will look to include additional features and benefits for your school community that will improve upon Online Safety BOOST in a variety of ways. We will ensure that SWGfL will provide the most cost-effective pricing structure that is as accommodating to the education sector as we can make it, though we do expect a subscription price increase to reflect the new additions we’ve included.

To support those customers who will move their BOOST subscription over to the new service before their subscription ends, we will not charge any additional cost as a thank you for your support and payment will only be required on your annual renewal period date.

Is there anything I need to do?

At this stage, no. Just be informed that if your Online Safety BOOST subscription is coming to an end over the coming months, you will not be able to automatically renew your subscription to Onlien Safety BOOST as you have done before.

My Online Safety BOOST subscription is due to run out before launch, is there another solution?

Yes, we have recently released ProjectEVOLVE EDU which covers professional training around some of the most pressing Digital Literacy topics facing the education sector. Providing a plethora of online training videos, ProjectEVOLVE EDU can support in your online safety delivery across your school community helping you to improve knowledge along the way.
