  1. Information We May Collect From You

    1. We may collect and process the following data about you and your organisation:
      1. Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site(s):
        1. www.swgfl.org.uk and
        2. boost.swgfl.org.uk
          (“our sites”).
    2. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use such sites as Online Safety BOOST, purchasing or subscribing to services advertised via our sites, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with any of our sites.
    3. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
    4. We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
    5. Details of your visits to our sites including, but not limited to, purchases, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  2. Where We Store Your Personal Data

    1. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers or on secure servers provided by our service providers.
    2.  All data we store is stored within the European Economic Area or with service providers (data processors) that comply with the U.S. – E.U. Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from the European Union. Information regarding the E.U. Where possible our data processors also comply with TRUSTe's Privacy Seal signifying that their privacy policy and practices have been reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance with TRUSTe's program requirements including transparency, accountability and choice regarding the collection and use of your personal information. TRUSTe's mission, as an independent third party, is to accelerate online trust among consumers and organizations globally through its leading privacy trust mark and innovative trust solutions.
    3. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our sites; any transmission is at your own risk.   4. Promotional Offers

    1. Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of users on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give that business your name and address. If you do not want to receive such offers, please unsubscribe by following the instructions in the email we sent to you.

    1. We sometimes employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include, delivering training sessions, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links, processing credit card payments and providing customer service. They have access to account and the limited personal information we keep needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Further, they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and as permitted by the UK's Data Protection Act.

    1. You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes.     1. The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10.00 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

    1. Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
  9. IP Addresses

    1. We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to review aggregate information. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

    1. South West Grid for Learning Trust Ltd is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Although we currently do not have any subsidiary companies we may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006, should we set up such subsidiaries or holding companies in the future.
    2. We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
      1. In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
      2. If SWGfL or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its users and customers will be one of the transferred assets; and/or
      3. If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SWGfL, our users and customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of crime and fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
